The Jewelry store that has accused Lindsay Lohan of stealing is once again trying to use their misfortune for publicity. Kamofie & Co. now says they are planning to auction odd the $2,500 necklace Lindsay allegedly stole, with proceeds going to charity.
Th company did not specify which charity will get the money, but announced, “We invite the public to make suggestions as the most appropriate charity to receive the benefit of the sale’s proceeds.” The auction will not take place until after Lindsay’s criminal case, and sources tell TMZ that there will be no plea deal, yet. TMZ claims the Lindsay is expected to be granted a continuance to giver her more time to consider the Judge Keith Scwartz’s offer, which absolutely involves jail time. Only in the 21st century a stolen item can be used as a charity item!
